POSITION SUMMARY

The Quality Engineer is responsible for strategies resulting in cost reduction, profit improvement, elimination of waste, increasing speed of execution, employee satisfaction, customer satisfaction, and for implementing quality strategies to enable Alluxa Inc. to become worldwide leaders in all targeted markets. The Quality Engineer also is responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and improvement of the Business Quality Management System. This includes the ISO 9001 system, interfacing with customers on quality issues, handling external audits, and helping to install a quality system designed to create the highest product and service quality at the lowest cost in the industry.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Executes Alluxa, Inc. Quality Systems and Processes. Ensures Company Quality targets and KPI objectives are achieved, quality requirements and standards are defined, and a proactive quality philosophy is enhanced
• Aligns QMS for Alluxa Inc. with parent organization Enpro Industries. Uses corporate process in assessment of risks and opportunities
• Maintains a culture of quality and improvement and ensure quality operations meet corporate and company goals. Ensures continual improvement processes are implemented
• Defines and meet RMA targets. Ensure nonconformities are prevented and warranty returns meet targets
• Reduces expenses to necessary levels. Ensure cost of quality targets are defined and met and Cost of Quality results are analyzed monthly for further cost reduction opportunities and waste elimination
• Ensures quality manuals and associated procedures are kept updated and current
• Supports customers through Quality Systems as needed. Provides information to customers on complaints are sent in timely fashion.
• Accomplishes day-to-day activities in Quality Department. Ongoing engagement and collaboration with department personnel is maintained
• Ensues all department information systems, records, reports, and metrics are accurate and generated on time. Ensures processes are documented and required procedures are consistently followed. Interpersonal effectiveness, teamwork, and good communications are demonstrated
• Is a role model for Quality, Customer Satisfaction, Employee Engagement, Company Values and Business Results
• Implements a culture of quality improvement. Deploys & monitors measurable goals to increase quality, lower cost and increase speed of execution
• Conducts management reviews against company goals and objectives supported by advanced data analysis. Management review processes stimulate the right strategic objectives, goals, and action items to be set
• Develops, implements, and monitors measurements for quality systems analysis. Ensures Quality trends are monitored with reaction plans implemented for unacceptable measurements
• Develops and executes a quality training plan that will ensure a continuously learning organization
• Implements MSA for new measuring techniques to ensure measuring capability
• Ensures SPC is used effectively, and key processes are controlled and stabilized
• Accomplishes quality support for groups such as operations, engineering, and marketing with gathering and analyzing data worldwide and that production and administrative departments are supported
• Manages critical process problems through to solution, through teams and task groups as needed
• Supervises and assures the effectiveness of internal and external audit processes. Ensures Internal audit process defines actionable opportunities for improvement through well written nonconformance notes, observations, and OFIs
• Ensures audit findings are “business-wise” and root cause is isolated for all audit findings. Corrective actions are appropriate for the findings and are effectively implemented
• Provides timely responses to the audits from ISO9001 and customers’ audit teams are achieved. Ensures ISO 9001 certificate is retained in good standing
• Communicates with customers and suppliers on quality-related issues, including quality audits, and warranty returns to assure highest levels of customer satisfaction. Ensures customers receive corrective actions and evidence prior to due date
• Department takes lead role in managing complaint process, complex quality issues experienced by customers and customer audits
• Develops innovative solutions with suppliers for complex supplier quality issued. Ensures Alluxa Inc. is viewed by customers as a quality benchmark
• Sets a high standard of ethics, professionalism, leadership, regulatory compliance, and competency. Ensures company policy is followed regarding all safety, health and environmental regulations and relevant Company Technology Control Plan, IP, and IT procedures are understood and executed
• Sarbanes-Oxley regulations are met and export compliance is maintained. All other applicable international regulations are met.

Minimum Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• B.S. in Engineering or another technical field
• 2-5 years’ of experience in Quality Engineering or Quality Management
• Able to work within Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Email

Preferred Qualifications:

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE OF:
• Experience with Advanced Quality Management and knowledge of various quality systems, such as ISO 9001, ISO 13485, TS 16949, TL-9000, AS9100, MBNQA, and others
• QMS IT support systems encompassing, ERP, & MES

• Autonomous technology supply base and general supplier quality control attributes for mechanical and electrical components and parts
• Lean/Six Sigma Qualifications
• Mechanical machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.

The Operations Process Engineer is responsible for the run-to-run process control of the Alluxa thin film coating machines as well as the characterization and optimization of the coating machine hardware and coating process. Key activities include timely evaluation and assessment of prior coating run results and process data resulting in feedback to the coating machine operator team and the planning team for any needed changes or adjustments to machine operating parameters and/or the manufacturing plan. Additional responsibilities include machine standardization and optimization for coating uniformity, deposition rates, thin film material properties and the optical monitoring system.

Machine standardization: Maintains a coating machine configuration table documenting the current configuration of each coating machine. Works with Planning and Engineering resources to appropriately standardize machine configurations based on production needs and technical advancements.

Machine optimization: Uses manufacturing process data to optimize coating machine performance for uniformity, deposition rates, and material properties. Specific activities include optimizing mask trims, optical monitor performance and characterization of machine rate drift behavior.

Title: Jr Accountant

Job Summary & Job Duties

Reporting directly to the Accounting Manager, the Jr Accountant will be responsible and work on accounts receivable processing, resolving customer inquiries and processing sales tax compilation. Responsibilities will include generating and reconciling invoices and purchase orders, resolving discrepancies, verifying payments, reconciling cash accounts, and other duties as needed. The Jr Accountant must work with minimal supervision performing routine tasks, must use own judgment and work with a high degree of accuracy. Must work within accepted accounting principles and standards. Must be capable of prioritizing own work to meet deadlines within department goals.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Generate invoices via Invoice Management software and customer directed invoicing portals for accounts receivables
• Process cash applications (wires, CC, and checks)
• Reconcile customer accounts to ensure account accuracy
• Create customer credit memos
• Create Proforma Invoices -to collect customer prepayments
• Review, balance and create daily revenue report
• Follow established guidelines and identify and resolves problems
• Work independently and perform moderately complex analysis of performance results
• Apply generally accepted accounting principles and develop or recommend accounting methods and procedures
• Create customer purchase orders in Order Management System
• Reviews and resolve POs issues satisfactorily
• Send order acknowledgements to customers
• Respond and address customer inquiries relating to their orders
• File, save and store documents
• Review, manage and collect sales tax certificates for 13 states
• Assist with REV11 3 Way matching Invoicing compilation and review for SOX Compliance
• Assist with Rev12 Credit memos compilation and review for SOX Compliance
• Assist with Sales Commission calculation for month close
• Assist with credit card statement reconciliation and supporting documents at month close
• Assist with Select GL account reconciliation at month close
• Input Journal Entries as needed throughout the month and at month/quarter close
• Assist with Sales tax data compilation and supporting documents
• Review, gather, and compile FOB destination report for month close
• Other responsibilities as needed

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business with an emphasis in accounting
• 1 – 3 years of prior accounting work experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
• Strong attention to detail with consistent accuracy
• Ability to apply knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles
• Ability to research, compile, analyze, interpret data and problem solve
• Strong computer skills, including detailed working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior QuickBooks experience is a plus
• 5+ years of experience in accounting in a manufacturing environment
• Prior experience in working with and analyzing data from ERP and consolidation software modules
• Prior experience with internal control over financial reporting in accordance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX)

Job Summary & Job Duties

The Operations Process Engineering Specialist is responsible for completing technical manufacturing steps necessary for producing thin film filter products and services for customer orders under the direction of the Operations Process Engineering Team Leader.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Coating run results evaluation: reviews coating run results for spectral performance and coating quality in order to provide timely feedback to the coating machine operator and planning teams. Gives instructions for process adjustments and schedule changes based on results analysis.

Process data assessment: reviews coating machine process data and performance charts (SPC) in order to provide timely feedback on coating machine process status and any necessary changes to operating parameters or planned production schedule.

Machine standardization: Maintains a coating machine configuration table documenting the current configuration of each coating machine. Works with Planning and Engineering resources to appropriately standardize machine configurations based on production needs and technical advancements.

Machine optimization: Uses manufacturing process data to optimize coating machine performance for uniformity, deposition rates, and material properties.

Minimum Qualifications

Qualifications
2 year college degree preferred
5 years or more experience working with the technical aspects of thin film optical filters

Preferred Qualifications:

PREFERRED ABILITY to:
• Read and interpret engineering drawings of parts, tooling, and equipment.
• Work with a high degree of accuracy; high attention to detail
• Exercise judgment within defined procedures and practices
• Accomplish tasks with minimum supervision
• Prioritize multiple tasks at once

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE of:
• Optical thin film filter design, manufacturing processes and testing
• Engineering statistics
• Mathematics and scientific principles/units
